Releases from 2022 budget hit P5.242 trillion

THE Department of Budget and Management (DBM) said that it released P5.242 trillion from the 2022 national budget.

According to preliminary data, the DBM said the 2022 budget overshot its original total of P5.024 trillion due to unprogrammed appropriations and other releases.

Unprogrammed appropriations totaled P183.8 billion while other automatic appropriations hit P34.62 billion.

Other releases also consist of continuing appropriations from the 2021 General Appropriations Act worth P23.84 billion. — Luisa Maria Jacinta C. Jocson
